Cho Seung-Hui, the perpetrator of the mass shooting at Virginia Tech, was born in South Korea.
In 1992, he immigrated to the United States with his family and settled in Virginia.

Cho attended Westfield High School in Chantilly, Virginia, and graduated in 2003. During his time in high school, he displayed strange behavior and had a reputation as a loner.
